UIM F2 WORLD CHAMPIONSHP

Since the start of the 2016 season, Team Abu Dhabi has participated in the increasingly popular UIM F2 World Championship.

The series runs to a similar points-scoring format to F1 H2O racing and began in this format in 2002. Each round regularly attracts 20-25 entries and the races take place on a multi-pin course of around 1600-2000 metres in length with both right and left turns. Boats line up on a pontoon according to their qualifying position and the race of between 35-40 laps begins from a dead engine start procedure.

The races are largely based on lakes and rivers in Europe and attract many Scandinavian drivers. The Grand Prix weekend can also feature a Match Race and a Speed Record after the traditional three qualifying sessions.
