Salem Al Yafei, Champion in UAE F4 Powerboat Championship Abu Dhabi

UAE, Abu Dhabi December 24, 2023: Salem Al Yafei won the title of the first round of the UAE Formula 4 Boat Championship, which was held on the breakwater in Abu Dhabi, under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club. Obaid Mubarak Ali came in runner-up, Sultan Saqr Al-Falahi third and Al-Yafei finished the second race in 20.24 minutes, over 22 laps, ahead and 18 seconds ahead of Obaid Mubarak.
In conclusion, the winners were honored by Salem Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, Saud Abdul Aziz Ahmed, General Manager of the Saudi Watercraft Club, and Nasser Al Dhaheri, Head of the Modern Racing Department at the club.
Salem Al Rumaithi congratulated the winners, stressing that the championship came under appropriate conditions at the end of the current year, and with strong participation achieved through the “Formula 4” category competitions. He said: We thank everyone who participated in the race, and we look forward to the best and highest achievements in the various championships and activities. Organized by the Marine Club.
He added: We witnessed a high technical level among the participants and great strength in the competition for the first place. This is what we aspire to do by refining the skills of the young men and further enhancing their excellence in all the entries for this category, which is considered the first stage of participation in the “Formula” boat races.
