The Asian Wakefest Championship will start in Abu Dhabi on February 16, with the participation of 20 countries

Abu Dhabi, February 12, 2024: The capital, Abu Dhabi, will host the first round of the Asian Open Wakefest Championship during the period from February 16 to 18 on the breakwater, under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, with the participation of Nearly 120 contestants from 20 countries.
Water skiing competitions are one of the modern championships approved on the club’s agenda and will enjoy large participation from the most prominent competitors from the Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, Thailand, Bulgaria, Lebanon, Russia, Belarus, Greece, Germany, Turkey, Egypt, America, and Germany. , Hungary, Ukraine, Switzerland, Malaysia, and the Netherlands.
The number of registered participants in the tournament so far has reached more than 100 participants, with expectations that the number will reach 120 competitors by the end of the registration period, which is a large number recorded for the first time since the club hosted the World Water Ski Championships in 2019.
- According to the tournament agenda, the competitions will begin on February 16 with training and free exercises for the contestants, followed by the qualifying and final rounds on February 17 and 18 for 14 categories competing in the tournament, followed by honoring and crowning first winners at the end.
