Ahmed Thani Al Rumaithi: “Al Dhafra Marine” enhances the values of Emirati heritage

Abu Dhabi, February 15, 2024: Ahmed Thani Murshid Al Rumaithi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, confirmed that the wise leadership’s support for sports, athletes, and marine heritage has contributed to creating a distinctive environment that has preserved this national heritage.
Al Rumaithi said in his statements on the occasion of the imminent start of the competitions of the 15th session of the “Al Dhafra Marine Festival” tomorrow, Friday, on Al Mughira Beach in Al Dhafra, which will continue until February 25, that the support, interest, and care of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler’s representative in the Al Dhafra region, His keenness to sustain development in marine sports as a national heritage passed down through generations has had a tangible impact on the success of previous editions of the event.
The Vice President of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club praised the support provided by the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority for the success of the event and its appearance in a way that reflects the status of Emirati heritage, pointing out that holding the festival on an annual basis and making it a forum for all contributes to the promotion of various sports and heritage events and enhances their sustainability.
