The coronation ceremony was attended by His Excellency Major General Pilot Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, Commander-in-Chief of Abu Dhabi Police and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, His Excellency Nasser Mohammed Al Mansouri, Under-Secretary of the Court of the Ruler’s Representative in the Al Dhafra Region, His Excellency Salem Al Rumaithi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, and many officials, in addition to Al-Nawakhatha. It is noteworthy that the Al Dhafra Marine Festival includes 23 main competitions, including traditional and modern marine races, beach, sports, and popular competitions, for which more than 350 valuable prizes were allocated, in addition to many entertainment and educational events that attract visitors from inside and outside the country to introduce the maritime heritage in Abu Dhabi.

The festival is keen to celebrate maritime heritage, preserve national identity, enhance the strategy for preserving Emirati heritage, and introduce all members of the local community and tourists to the customs and traditions associated with the sea.
