 UAE Abu Dhabi, May 16, 2024: The organizing committee has officially set the start date for the seventh historic Delma race. The Seventh Historic Delma Festival Race for the 60-foot Sailing Bearings has been scheduled to start next Monday, May 20, with Tuesday, May 21, as a reserve day. This magnificent event is organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club and the Abu Dhabi Heritage Authority, making it the largest and most prestigious marine racing festival globally. The Director of the Marine Sports Department, Majid Al Muhairi, emphasized the importance of cooperating with the National Center of Meteorology to ensure an optimal start for the Senyar trip from Dalma Island to Al Mughira Beach. Strict technical inspection procedures have been implemented to guarantee that all participants adhere to the necessary specifications, regulations, and laws. Al Muhairi expressed confidence in a successful and competitive race, highlighting the significance of maintaining the ideal atmosphere for long-distance sailing races. The Delma Historic Race spans 68 nautical miles through eight islands, including Dalma, Sir Bani Yas, Ghasha, Umm al-Kurkum, Fatayer, Al-Bazm, Al-Fayy, Marawah, and Janana before concluding at Al-Mughira city, promises an unparalleled experience for participants and spectators alike.
