AbuDhabi, August 7th, 2024: in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Marine Sports Federation, and the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, highlighted the remarkable achievements of Emirati athletes in recent international racing events. Winning titles in both the Formula 2 World Championship and the Norwegian Formula 4 Championship has demonstrated the vibrant competitive spirit thriving within the UAE.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized that these victories are not just milestones but also significant motivation for Emirati youth to hone their skills and engage with elite athletes worldwide. The accomplishments of the Abu Dhabi Powerboat Team, specifically their stunning performance in Tønsberg, Norway, where they clinched the title in the second round of the Formula 2 World Championship against a field of 18 boats, underscore the UAE's growing prominence in marine sports.

Furthermore, the success of the Sharjah Team, who secured the "Speed Run" title in Formula 4, along with Obaid Mubarak's impressive performances—second place in the same race and fourth in the Scandinavian International Championship—demonstrate the depth of talent emerging from the UAE. Notably, the outstanding debut of Alia Abdul Salam Fairouz, who finished fifth in her first international competition, represents a significant achievement, marking her as the first Emirati competitor in this arena.
