Abu Dhabi, October 27, 2024: The excitement was palpable as the first round of the "Emirates Marathon" Jet Ski Championship wrapped up yesterday evening on the picturesque Abu Dhabi Breakwater. This exhilarating event saw the participation of 58 competitors from 8 countries, showcasing the global appeal of jet ski racing.

Organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, the championship featured three main categories: Sitting Professionals, Standing Professionals, and Veterans. Each category brought its own set of challenges and showcased an elite group of athletes, all eager to prove their skills on the water.

The winners were celebrated in a grand ceremony, with Khalifa Al Suwaidi, General Supervisor of the Race, and Mansour Al Muhairi, a member of the Organizing Committee, presenting the awards. Sheikh Abdul Aziz Al Nuaimi emerged victorious in the Veterans category, while Mohammed Al Hamli secured the second position. In the Standing Professionals category, Sultan Issa Al Hammadi claimed first place, with Ali Issa Al Ali close behind in second. The Sitting Professionals category saw Walid Al Sharaisini from Qatar take the top spot, leaving Sultan Al Hammadi in second.

Salem Al Rumaithi, General Manager of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, praised the championship for its artistic value and its contribution to the evolution of marine sports in the region. He noted the fierce competition that unfolded across all categories, highlighting the remarkable talent on display.

Khalifa Al Suwaidi emphasized that events like the Emirates Marathon Jet Ski Championship not only elevate the standards of marine sports in Abu Dhabi but also nurture the skills of young competitors by allowing them to challenge themselves against seasoned athletes.
