A Successful and Thrilling Conclusion to the UAE Jet Ski Championship in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, November 17, 2024: The UAE Jet Ski Championship concluded at the Abu Dhabi Corniche Breakwater amidst an electrifying atmosphere and exceptional organization. The event saw broad participation from top local and international competitors, with nearly seventy racers competing across ten categories in morning and evening sessions. The championship, organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, showcased remarkable talent and performances.
Category Highlights:
- Ski Division GP1:
Saudi racer Nizar Louay clinched first place with a strong performance, followed by Emirati Salman Younis Al Awadhi in second and Saudi Mansour Louay in third, showcasing intense competition.
- Runabout GP3:
Emirati Jamal Al Janahi took first place, while Kuwaiti Ahmed Rashid Al Dawas secured second, and Hungarian Agnet Albert claimed third, adding an international dimension to this thrilling category.
- Ski GP2:
Russian Alexander Pak Homov dominated the race to secure first place, with Qatari Waleed Al Sharshani in second and Emirati Saud Mohammed Al Awadhi finishing third.
- Runabout GP2:
Emirati racers swept this category, with Salman Younis Al Awadhi winning first place, followed by Omar Hawair in second, and Ahmed Al Suhail Al Tayer in third, highlighting strong Emirati representation.
- Ski Junior GP3.1:
Young Emirati Abdullah Younis Al Awadhi claimed first place with a standout performance, reflecting his emerging skills in the sport.
- Ski Junior GP3.2:
Swedish racer Kair Ivanov captured first place, with Emiratis Ahmed Salem Tayer and Mohammed Seer Al Tayer finishing in second and third, respectively.
- Ski Junior GP3.3:
Emirati racers dominated, with Suhail Rashid Al Marri taking first place, Saif Rashid Al Shawahi in second, and Hamdan Salem Tayer in third, showcasing impressive local talent.
- Runabout GP4:
Kuwaiti racers excelled, with Ahmed Al Khudhari securing first place, followed by Fawaz Al Meikami in second and Fahad Al Yaqoub in third, demonstrating their dominance in this category.
- Veterans:
Emirati Hareb Al Muhairi claimed the top spot, with British racer Ian John Will Kelson in second and Emirati Mohammed Mohsen in third, in a race combining experience and skill.
- Runabout GP1:
Emirati Khalifa Bel Selah earned first place, with Qatari Waleed Al Sharshani in second and Emirati Rashid Al Tayer securing third, reflecting Gulf excellence in this top-tier category.
Closing Ceremony:
After the championship, the winners were honored by Khalifa Al Remeithi, Head of Traditional Racing at the club, and Ahmed Al Tayer, a member of the organizing committee.
The event reinforced Abu Dhabi's position as a hub for marine sports and provided thrilling experiences for both participants and fans, setting a high standard for future championships.
