The UAE Wakeboard & Wakesurf Championship concludes tomorrow in Abu Dhabi with the participation of 86 competitors from 23 countries.

Abu Dhabi, November 23, 2024: The first round of the UAE ًWakeboard & Wakesurf Championship concludes tomorrow, Sunday, after three days of intense competition at the Abu Dhabi Breakwater. Held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, the championship witnessed remarkable participation from 86 competitors representing 23 countries, showcasing the growing prominence of marine sports in the UAE.
The championship featured a variety of categories catering to juniors, beginners, and professionals, both men and women. These included the Junior and Beginner Men's categories, the Men's Freeride category, the Men's Open Surf category, the Beginner Girls' category, the Women's Open category, and the Women's Freeride category. Additionally, there were Intermediate Men's, Men's, and Women's Amateur, Beginner Skim, and Open Skim categories for both men and women, covering a wide range of skill levels.
Nasser Al Dhaheri, Acting Director of the Marine Sports Department at the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, expressed pride in the event's success, highlighting the impressive participation and high level of competition. "The UAE Water Ski Championship serves as an ideal platform for young talents to showcase their skills and compete with great sportsmanship. We are proud of the participants who demonstrated exceptional abilities and delivered outstanding performances on the water. The Breakwater provided the perfect setting for this championship, offering a fantastic environment for both challenge and enjoyment," he said.
The competition featured meticulous judging, with each participant given five minutes to perform before the panel, focusing on control, speed, and technical maneuvers. The championship drew significant audience engagement, creating an electrifying atmosphere throughout the event.
The championship will conclude with an award ceremony tomorrow, honoring the winners in the presence of organizers and spectators, marking a strong continuation of an exceptional marine sports season in the UAE.
