Jumaa Al Tayer Crowned Champion of the Professional Category in the UAE Remote-Control Boat Championship

Abu Dhabi, December 23, 2024: The UAE Remote-Control Boat Championship concluded yesterday evening at Marina Beach in Abu Dhabi after a day full of thrilling competitions. The event featured many decisive moments, including boat collisions and technical malfunctions, adding more excitement to the challenge.

The race began with the whistle signaling the start of the three race categories: 2Cell, 3Cell, and 4Cell. Participants demonstrated their skills as they worked to control their remote-controlled boats amid various challenges, including water currents and intense competition.

The competition was marked by several dramatic events, most notably collisions caused by high speeds and attempts to overtake rivals on the narrow race track. Some boats also experienced technical malfunctions, forcing participants to make quick adjustments, increasing tension, and adding an element of surprise to the races.

In the 2Cell category, Saif Jumaa Al Tayer gave an outstanding performance, maintaining his lead despite challenges to secure first place. Abdullah Mahdi Ahmed leveraged his experience to avoid collisions and secured second place, while Hamad Al Baz claimed third place after a tough race that showcased his high level of skill.

In the 3Cell category, the race was even more dramatic. One boat suffered a breakdown mid-course, which opened the door for Thani Suhail Al Tayer to take first place. Mohammed Fahad Al Marzouqi finished second after a strong performance, while Haya Al Baz skillfully claimed third place.

The 4Cell category concluded the championship with the day’s most intense race. Jumaa Al Tayer displayed exceptional skill in controlling his boat, overcoming all challenges to secure first place. Ahmed Mahdi Abdullah came in second, while Saeed bin Sabah Al Falasi achieved third place after a race filled with power and excitement.

After the races concluded, the top three boats in each category were inspected to ensure compliance with approved technical standards. Ahmed Al Taher, the general supervisor of the championship, emphasized that technical inspections are an essential part of the event to ensure transparency and fairness among participants. He said, "The inspection process was carried out with precision, and no violations were recorded, confirming the participants' commitment to regulations and technical standards."

Jumaa Al Tayer, the winner of the 4Cell category, expressed his joy at winning, saying, "I love this sport because it combines my passion for electronics and the challenge it offers. After the championship, participants gathered on the podium, and the winners were honored in a celebratory atmosphere. Nasser Al Dhaheri, Director of Races and Events at the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, said, "Today was full of excitement and enthusiasm. We witnessed strong races and exceptional skills from all participants, despite the technical challenges faced by some. This championship highlights the significant development of remote-control boat sports in the UAE."
