Abu Dhabi, December 17, 2024: The capital city of Abu Dhabi is preparing to host the latest edition of the Abu Dhabi Ladies Fishing Championship, set to take place on Friday, December 20, 2024, in the city’s waters. This championship is one of the premier marine events organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, aiming to highlight the role of women in marine sports and encourage their active participation in this unique field.  

Registration is now open via the ADMSC app  
The club has announced that registration for the championship is now open. Interested participants can register via the club's app available on the electronic store under the name ADMSC. The club clarified that registration will remain open until shortly before the championship begins, inviting women of all ages and skill levels to take part in this exceptional sporting event.  

Event program  
The championship activities will begin early in the morning, with participants gathering at a designated starting point to be announced later. Fishing boats will head to Abu Dhabi’s fish-rich waters, providing a competitive atmosphere that combines skill, patience, and luck.  

One of the key questions circulating among enthusiasts is: will the weights be the championship’s big surprise? The final results will be based on the weight of the fish caught, adding excitement and anticipation to the event.  

Championship goals and encouraging women’s participation  
The Abu Dhabi Ladies Fishing Championship aims to achieve several objectives, including:

- Empowering women to engage in fishing sports professionally.

Nasser Al Dhaheri, Acting Director of Races and Events, praised the growing role of women in this type of sport, stating, "Launching this championship reflects our commitment to offering inclusive sporting events. We believe in women’s capabilities and strive to provide a platform for them to showcase their skills and boost their confidence in marine sports."  

Valuable prizes for winners  
The club has allocated valuable prizes for the top winners, including cash rewards and gifts. The names of the winners and the weights of the fish they caught will be announced during a closing ceremony to be held at the Abu Dhabi Breakwater, attended by participants, the organizing committee, and club officials.
