Al-Yafei secures first place in the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship.

Abu Dhabi, December 30, 2024: The first round of the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship and the UAE Flyboard Championship concluded yesterday evening. The events were held on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club.
In the Formula 4 Powerboat Championship, Salem Al-Yafei claimed first place, followed by Obaid Mubarak in second place, both representing the Mubarak Marine team. Khaled Mohammed Al-Zarouni from the Sharjah team secured third place.
As for the Flyboard Championship, in the Beginners category, Egyptian Mohamed Bebo took first place, with Emirati Faisal Al-Tunaiji finishing second and Egyptian Mohamed Tarek Mostafa in third.
In the Professionals category, Colombian Daniel Guerra topped the competition to secure first place, followed by Frenchman Geoffrey Kozla in second place, and Emirati Ahmed Al-Mahrazi in third.
After the event, Saif Al-Suwaidi, Chairman of the Club’s Competitions Committee, and Nasser Al-Dhaheri, Acting Director of Marine Sports, honored the winners. Emirati Alya Fairooz was also recognized for her participation in the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship as the first Emirati woman to compete in this category.
Nasser Al-Dhaheri praised the success of the first round of both championships, noting that the high level of competition reflects the development of marine sports in the UAE. He emphasized the club’s commitment to advancing the championships by introducing challenging courses that enhance performance and offer a unique experience for the audience. Additionally, he highlighted the importance of fostering a fair and competitive environment to inspire local talent.
