Kicking Off Tomorrow in Fujairah: Team Abu Dhabi Aims for the Podium in the Second Round of the UAE Modern Rowing Championship

UAE, Fujairah – February 2025: Team Abu Dhabi is gearing up for the second round of the UAE Modern Rowing Championship, set to take place in Fujairah tomorrow, Saturday. The event will witness strong participation from rowing stars across the UAE and various rowing academies. Organized by the UAE Sailing and Rowing Federation in collaboration with the Fujairah International Marine Sports Club, the competition presents a major challenge for the team as they vie for medals and top positions in multiple categories.  

In preparation for this high-level competition, Team Abu Dhabi has undergone extensive training at the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Academy, affiliated with the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club. The team comprises 11 male and female rowers competing across various championship categories: Sultan Al Hammadi, Marwan Khamis, Ibrahim Marghi, Younes Al Hosani, Aziz Al Hosani, Athba Ali, Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Hosani, Mheir Hafit, Elena Sladjovic, Ahood Al Dhaheri, and Gokso Aslan.  

Team Abu Dhabi will compete in multiple categories, including Women's Single, Men's Single, Women's Double, Men's Double, Women's Quad, and Men's Quad.  

This participation aligns with the club's vision and strategy to develop and prepare talents for future Olympic and international events. Through its academy’s elite athlete development program, the club aims to nurture champions who can represent the UAE on the global stage.  

Team Abu Dhabi boasts a promising roster of young athletes enrolled in the academy’s preparation program, ensuring a strong presence in future Olympic competitions in collaboration with relevant federations.
