Successful conclusion of the Al Alya Banush Sailing Race in Abu Dhabi with the participation of 40 Banush boats."

Abu Dhabi, UAE – September 12, 2025: The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club successfully concluded the Al Alya Banush Sailing Race held yesterday in the capital, Abu Dhabi, featuring a strong participation of 40 Banush boats that showcased the beauty of authentic maritime heritage and fierce competition among captains for the top positions in a remarkable atmosphere.
The results saw the Banush "Toofan" take first place, led by captain Ahmed Ismail Al Marzouqi and owned by Hamad Rashid Al Rumaithi. In second place was the Banush "Marban", captained by Ibrahim Ismail Al Marzouqi and owned by Zayed Abdullah Al Hosani, while the third place went to the Banush "Al Hadi", both owned and captained by Abdullah Sabah Al Rumaithi.
At the conclusion, the winners were honored by Saeed Humaid Al Muhairi, Head of General Maintenance and Technical Support; Khalifa Al Rumaithi, Head of Heritage Racing Department; Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Head of the Academy; and Dr. Ghuwaie Al Neyadi, Senior Vice President of Medical Services and Quality of Life at ADNOC Group.
The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club affirmed that the Al Alya Banush Race reflects the prominent status of traditional sports in the UAE and highlights the ongoing dedication to preserving maritime heritage and passing it on to future generations.
