Shanghai, China – October 2, 2025: Team Abu Dhabi for Powerboat Racing is gearing up for two decisive rounds in the Formula 1 Powerboat World Championship, set to take place in China over the coming weeks. The campaign begins with the Shanghai Grand Prix from October 2 to 4, followed by the next round in Zhengzhou from October 10 to 12.
The team will be represented this season by its star drivers Mansoor Al Mansoori and Erik Stark of Sweden, after taking part in the opening round in Indonesia last August. That race did not yield strong results, making the goal at this stage to bounce back and secure finishes worthy of the team’s name and global standing.
The delegation to China is led by Nasser Al Dhaheri, with full technical and organizational preparations in place to ensure the team’s readiness for one of the toughest stops of the season.
Thani Al Qemzi, Team Manager of Team Abu Dhabi, emphasized that the upcoming two rounds mark a pivotal stage in the team’s quest for top positions, saying:
“We have great confidence in the abilities of our drivers Mansoor Al Mansoori and Erik Stark. Everyone is fully focused on delivering their best performances in the two races in China. Our target is to recover after the difficult start in Indonesia, and we are working with team spirit to achieve results that reflect the name of Abu Dhabi and the UAE.”
Al Qemzi extended his sincere thanks and appreciation to Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, for his unwavering support and patronage of the team’s journey, stressing that this backing remains the cornerstone of the team’s continued success and its ability to represent the UAE in the best possible image on the world stage.
