Successful Conclusion of the First Round of the UAE MotoSurf Championship in Abu Dhabi

UAE, Abu Dhabi – November 2, 2025: The first round of the UAE MotoSurf Championship concluded yesterday, organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club at the Breakwater in the capital, Abu Dhabi. The two-day event took place in a highly energetic and competitive atmosphere, featuring more than 70 riders from nine nationalities, reflecting the club’s outstanding organizational capabilities and the significant growth of modern marine sports in the UAE.
Held following an intensive training camp organized by the club in preparation for the season, the championship featured six main categories, with results as follows:
Junior Category: 1st – Lukas Schneider, 2nd – Matias Barvik, 3rd – Pabiana Bobnikova.
Rookies Category: 1st – Ali Al Hamiri, 2nd – Obeid Al Hamli, 3rd – Saeed Al Hamli.
Ladies Category: 1st – Mariana Navarova, 2nd – Linda Lukschneider, 3rd – Blanka Zbikavoka.
Challenger Category: 1st – Jerry Kasela, 2nd – Matej Bulisek, 3rd – Simon Novakic.
Masters Category: 1st – Matias Novotny, 2nd – Alex Lukschieder, 3rd – Matej Kozisic.
Veterans Category: 1st – Jerry Renner, 2nd – Kamil Schneider, 3rd – Lukas Polakic.
The championship attracted a large public turnout, as riders showcased impressive skills in control, balance, and speed on the water — marking a perfect conclusion to the opening round of one of the UAE’s most exciting and fast-growing marine sports championships.
The winners were crowned by Dr. Mohammed Saif Al Kaabi, Board Member of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club; Thani Al Qemzi, Executive Director of Team Abu Dhabi and Modern Sports; Ali Salmeen Al Dhaheri, representative of the Abu Dhabi Sports Council; and Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Director of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Academy.
In his statement, Thani Al Qemzi emphasized that the success of the first round reflects Abu Dhabi’s leadership and world-class infrastructure in hosting major international events, saying:
“The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club continues to play a leading role in developing modern water sports and attracting talents from around the world. The success of the first round of the MotoSurf Championship highlights Abu Dhabi’s excellence in organization and world-class infrastructure for hosting major events. We look forward to maintaining this momentum in the upcoming rounds.”
Al Qemzi concluded by confirming that the championship achieved its goals in attracting participants and strengthening the presence of MotoSurf as one of the modern marine sports in the UAE and the wider region, noting that the upcoming rounds will witness greater participation and further technical progress in both performance and organization.
