Launch of the second round of the UAE International Jet Ski Championship on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, November 15–16.

Abu Dhabi, 11 November 2025: The second round of the UAE International Jet Ski Championship will take place on Saturday and Sunday, 15–16 November, on the Abu Dhabi Corniche. The event is organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club as part of the 2025 marine sports season calendar, under the supervision of the UAE Marine Sports Federation.

The championship will feature an elite group of top national competitors alongside international riders representing several Gulf, European, and Asian countries, in a high-energy event characterized by speed, excitement, and skill on the waters of the capital.

The competition includes a variety of officially approved categories reflecting the diversity of participant levels, including:

Runabout Stand-Up Pro (GP1)

Runabout Stand-Up Junior (GP2)

Runabout Sit-Down Pro (GP2)

Runabout Sit-Down Novice (GP3)

Runabout Spark (GP4)

Freestyle Category

In addition to Junior categories 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3, which aim to discover and develop the next generation of young talent.

Races will be held over two main stages on Saturday and Sunday, with final standings determined by the combined points of both stages, increasing the level of competitive intensity and providing equal opportunities for riders to compete for the top positions.

Pre-race activities, including registration, technical inspection, and the competitors’ briefing, will take place on Friday, while the awards ceremony will be held at the conclusion of the second stage on Sunday.

Thani Al Qemzi, Executive Director of Team Abu Dhabi and Modern Sports, emphasized the importance of the round within the season’s competitive schedule, highlighting the club’s ongoing efforts to develop jet ski racing and support national talents.

Al Qemzi said: “We are committed to providing the highest standards of safety and organization to ensure fair competition and an ideal racing environment, in line with Abu Dhabi’s distinguished global reputation in hosting major marine sports events.”

He added: “Each season, we witness noticeable progress in performance levels and equipment technology. The Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club continues to work toward strengthening the sport’s presence regionally and internationally.”

The round is expected to see strong participation and a high level of competition, further reaffirming Abu Dhabi’s status as the regional capital of marine sports and its leading role in supporting and developing this vital sporting sector.
