UAE Shines as Kuwait Leads GP4 in the Opening of the Second Jet Ski Round in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 15 November 2025: The second round of the UAE International Jet Ski Championship 2025 kicked off today on the Abu Dhabi Corniche, organized by the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, with the participation of top riders from the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Russia. The opening day featured strong competition across seven categories and concluded with several exciting races.
Runabout GP4
Kuwaiti riders asserted their strong presence in this category, with Fahad Al-Yaquob taking the lead, followed by his compatriot Youssef Al-Shareeda in second place, while Ahmed Hamad Al-Harmi finished third.
Ski GP2
The UAE delivered an impressive performance, as Saud Mahmoud Nasser Al-Awadhi set the fastest time, with Ahmed Issa Al-Hammadi second, and Kuwait’s Nasser Al-Rajeb placing third.
Ski Veterans GP2
UAE stars continued their dominance, with Rashid Suhail Al-Tayer winning the race, followed by Hareez Al-Mar bin Hareez in second place, and Mohammed Mohsen in third.
Ski GP3.3 (Junior Category)
Russia’s Eva Telinkova claimed first place, while UAE brothers Ahmed and Hamdan Salem Taher secured second and third places respectively.
Runabout GP3
The UAE shined once again, with Jamal Al-Junahi taking the top spot, followed by Saif Al-Shuweihi in second, and Mohammed Saeed Al-Hamli in third.
Ski GP3.1 & GP3.2 (Combined Race)
Abdullah Younes Al-Awadhi continued his impressive form and secured first place, with Mohammed Rashid Suhail Al-Tayer in second, and Zayed Al-Hammadi placing third.
Ski GP4
The opening day concluded with another UAE victory, as Saud Mahmoud Al-Awadhi claimed first place, followed by Suhail Rashid Al-Tayer in second, while Qatar’s Sultan Majed Al-Shereshni came third.
Commenting on the opening day, Thani Al-Qamzi, Executive Director of Abu Dhabi Team and Modern Sports, said that the diverse participation from the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Russia reflects the growing stature of the championship. He added: “The performances we witnessed today confirm that the event has become an important platform for riders from various countries. We expect even more intense competition in tomorrow’s second race, which will determine the champions of the second round.”
The championship continues tomorrow with the completion of the second phase, which will decide the final standings of the round as part of the season’s agenda.
