UAE, 22 November 2025: Salem Al Yafei, representing the American University in the UAE team, dominated the opening day of the UAE Formula 4 Powerboat Championship after delivering a strong performance in Race 1, which witnessed multiple position changes from the second lap onward, allowing him to seize the lead and secure first place.

The day began with the drivers’ briefing, followed by the morning free practice sessions, before moving on to the qualifying heats in which the Black Pharaoh Team showcased impressive form. Sultan Al Falahi topped the qualifying session, followed by his teammate Ismat Ma’na in second place, while Salem Al Yafei finished third.

Race 1 featured the participation of eight drivers, during which Al Yafei successfully advanced to take the lead. Sultan Al Falahi of the Black Pharaoh Team finished second, while Alia Abdulsalam of Team Mubadala claimed third place.

The championship continues tomorrow with Race 2, which will conclude the second round amid expectations of heightened competition and excitement among the drivers.
