Under a Clear Strategic Vision… Abu Dhabi Powerboat Team Renews Contracts of Its Elite Racers and Strengthens Its Global Presence

UAE, Abu Dhabi 29 Dec 2025 : The Abu Dhabi Powerboat Team has announced the renewal of contracts for a select group of its elite racers, in addition to finalizing new agreements, in a move that reflects the team’s commitment to technical stability, continuity, and building on the significant successes achieved in recent seasons. This step comes as part of the comprehensive strategy of Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club aimed at strengthening its competitive presence on the global stage.
This decision aligns with a clear future-oriented vision focused on retaining top-performing talents within the team and providing a stable, competitive environment that enables racers to deliver their best performances and compete strongly for titles across international championships.
Among the renewed contracts is Rashed Al Qemzi, one of the most prominent figures in the team’s history, who boasts a distinguished career spanning more than 15 years with Team Abu Dhabi. During this period, he secured five F2 World Championship titles, in addition to winning the prestigious Rouen Classic 24-Hour Formula race, making him a symbol of experience, achievement, and long-term success within the team.
The team also renewed the contract of Mansoor Al Mansoori, an F2 powerboat racing champion, who continues his journey with the Abu Dhabi Powerboat Team for more than five consecutive seasons. Throughout this period, he has delivered consistent and competitive performances, playing a key role in strengthening the team’s results and presence across various international rounds and championships.
The renewal decision further included Rashed Al Mulla, a six-time world champion in freestyle jet ski racing, who represents one of the core pillars of Team Abu Dhabi in international jet ski competitions. Al Mulla continues his association with the team for more than nine seasons, during which he has proudly represented Abu Dhabi at the highest levels of global competition.
Thani Al Qemzi, Executive Director of Team Abu Dhabi and Modern Sports at Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, confirmed that the contract renewals form part of a long-term strategic plan aimed at maintaining technical stability and preserving successful elements within the team. He emphasized that the high level of commitment and technical excellence demonstrated by the racers has played a decisive role in the achievements recorded in Abu Dhabi’s name across various championships.
He added that the upcoming phase requires intensified preparations and maximum readiness for future challenges, particularly given the increasing competitiveness of international powerboat and jet ski championships. He stressed that Team Abu Dhabi possesses the human and technical capabilities necessary to continue securing titles and reaching podium finishes.
The Abu Dhabi Powerboat Team continues its intensive preparations for upcoming competitions, relying on the experience of its racers, the stability of its technical and administrative structure, and its ongoing ambition to reinforce Abu Dhabi’s leadership in powerboat racing and jet ski sports, further cementing its status as one of the world’s leading hubs for marine sports.
