Abu Dhabi, 14 February 2026 : Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the UAE Marine Sports Federation and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club, crowned the winners and honored the champions of the Dragon Boat Race competitions, in the presence of a number of officials, as part of the Abu Dhabi Masters Games 2026, held at the Abu Dhabi Marine Sports Club.

The organization of the Dragon Boat competitions formed part of the official program of the Abu Dhabi Masters Games 2026. The races witnessed wide participation and high technical standards, reflecting the growing development of the sport and its increasing presence within community sporting events, alongside strong public engagement and diverse participation across different categories.

These competitions underscored the importance of including marine sports within major sporting events, given their role in promoting an active lifestyle, encouraging community participation, and supporting sports that combine competitive spirit with teamwork.

The hosting of the Dragon Boat races comes within the vision of the organizers of the Abu Dhabi Masters Games 2026 to deliver an integrated and diverse sporting program that encompasses a range of sports catering to various interests, and contributes to reinforcing Abu Dhabi’s position as a leading sporting destination at the regional and international levels.
